Rep. Haley Stevens, serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 11th district since 2019, recently made several public statements via social media. Her comments centered on union support, the observance of Passover, and congressional actions regarding inflation and budgetary issues.

On April 11, Stevens stated, “It was a privilege to have the incredible MI Pipe Trades and @UAPipeTrades in my office this week. Every day I’m fighting for our unions in Michigan. If workers want to join a union, it should be easier for them to do so. It’s time to pass the #PROAct now!” This tweet highlights her advocacy for Michigan’s workforce, particularly in union-related efforts.

Following this, on April 12, she expressed her sentiments for Passover, remarking, “Chag Sameach to all those gathering around the Seder table for Passover tonight. May all those doing so have a meaningful Passover. There are still too many empty table seats while hostages are not home after 553 days. I continue to call for their release. #BringThemHome.” Here, Stevens marks the holiday by drawing attention to ongoing international concerns.

Lastly, on April 14, Stevens addressed concerns regarding congressional inaction, stating, “It’s been over 100 days of the 119th Congress and the American people haven’t seen any action from Republicans to lower costs.” She critiqued the inflation issues and the proposed budget, expressing concern about its potential negative impact on her constituents.

Haley Stevens has served in the U.S. Congress, representing Michigan’s 11th District, since 2019. Additionally, Stevens was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan in 1983, and currently resides in Birmingham.
