Rep. Haley Stevens, who represents Michigan’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed issues of homeland security, digital asset legislation, and privacy concerns in a series of posts on her official social media account.

On July 16, 2025, Stevens emphasized the importance of countering domestic terrorism, stating: “The prevention of domestic terrorism is not optional—it is a core homeland security mandate, and one that the Michiganders I represent are concerned about. In a moment of rising extremism and political violence, DHS must be fully resourced and appropriately led to meet this”.

In another post dated July 18, 2025, she commented on recent legislative progress involving digital assets: “With the House’s passage of the GENIUS Act and the Clarity Act, we’re laying the groundwork for a future where Michigan’s workers, innovators, and consumers can fully benefit from the potential of stablecoins and digital assets. This is a strong, forward-looking framework that”.

Later that same day, Stevens criticized policies related to immigration enforcement and healthcare privacy: “This is beyond outrageous. Allowing ICE to access Medicaid records is a blatant violation of privacy. More than 3 million Michiganders rely on Medicaid, and people shouldn’t have to choose between getting the care they need or protecting their privacy. This has to stop.”

Haley Stevens has served as Michigan’s representative in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Dave Trott. She was born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. Stevens holds a bachelor’s degree from American University.
