Rep. Haley Stevens, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 11th district since 2019, has recently posted a series of tweets addressing national policy issues and local concerns for Michigan residents.

On May 12, 2026, Stevens criticized former President Donald Trump’s economic record in a tweet: “Donald Trump promised to lower costs on day one. Instead, Michigan families are still getting squeezed: from rising grocery bills to higher prices at the gas pump to the soaring cost of housing. At the same time, his administration is spending billions of taxpayer dollars on a”.

Three days later, on May 15, 2026, she commented on education funding proposals: “Trump wants to slash K-12 funding, making it harder for Michigan students, teachers, and workers to get ahead. Not on my watch.”

Later that same day, Stevens thanked her colleagues for their work on pending legislation in another post: “Thank you to everyone working so hard in good faith to get this critical legislation done. Our innovators need clear rules of the road, that’s why I was proud to be one of the earliest supporters of the Clarity Act in the House. Still work ahead, but let’s keep the momentum”.

Stevens’ recent statements reflect ongoing debates about federal spending priorities and regulatory clarity for innovation sectors. She succeeded Dave Trott as representative for Michigan’s 11th district beginning in 2019 and has been an advocate for local interests throughout her tenure. Born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently residing in Birmingham, Stevens holds a BA from American University.
