Rep. Haley Stevens, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 11th district since 2019, has shared her thoughts and activities through a series of tweets. Stevens, born in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and residing in Birmingham, addressed several topics including religious freedom, legislative efforts to protect privacy, and community events celebrating diversity.

On June 6, 2025, Rep. Stevens highlighted her meeting with the Sikh community in Washington D.C., expressing the importance of their presence both in Michigan and across the United States. She emphasized religious tolerance by stating: “The Sikh community is such an important part of our state and our country, and I was honored to meet with them in DC today.” Stevens also condemned attacks on Sikhs and Muslims by one of her colleagues as “abhorrent,” reaffirming her commitment to fighting for religious freedom.

In a tweet posted on June 7, 2025, she criticized certain policies related to treasury payment systems that she believes infringe upon personal privacy. She wrote: “This is Ridiculous. I wrote the bill to prevent the DOGE cronies from getting access to treasury payment systems…” This reflects her ongoing efforts to protect Michiganders from unnecessary data sharing.

Later that day on June 7th, Rep. Stevens participated in a Pride event at Hazel Park. Celebrating alongside local leaders, she expressed enthusiasm for raising the Pride flag within this welcoming community: “Happy Pride Hazel Park! “ This underscores her support for inclusivity and LGBTQ+ rights.

Haley Stevens holds a BA from American University and succeeded Dave Trott as a member of Congress in 2019.
