Representative Haley Stevens, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 11th district, recently shared several updates with her constituency on social media. These updates range from local community engagement to broader environmental and legislative efforts.

On April 21, 2025, Stevens invited area youths to participate in the Congressional Art Competition. She urged, “Calling all Oakland County middle and high school artists! It’s time for the Congressional Art Competition.” She directed interested participants to find further details online with submissions due by Friday, April 25.

On April 22, 2025, in recognition of Earth Day, Stevens reaffirmed her commitment to environmental preservation, particularly emphasizing the importance of the Great Lakes. She stated, “Happy Earth Day! In Michigan, we know the value of protecting our Great Lakes and building a sustainable future.” Stevens also highlighted her ongoing efforts to secure policies that protect the planet while fostering economic opportunities.

Two days later, on April 24, 2025, Stevens addressed a recent tragedy that impacted the Jeakles, underscoring her legislative efforts. In reference to her proposed legislation, she tweeted, “What happened to the Jeakles is a tragedy. That’s why I introduced the Prolonged Power Outage Relief Act.” This Act aims to financially aid Michigan families and businesses affected by extended power outages.

Haley Stevens, who has served since 2019 in the 11th District, was born in 1983 in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and resides in Birmingham. She holds a BA from American University.
