Novi Community School District issued the following announcement on Oct 13.
Dr. Matthews spoke to WXYZ about dangerous social media trends: "It was a real concern for school administrators ... trying to make sure that students understood that this kind of behavior is really not appropriate and could also lead to some discipline at the school," he said.
Our School Resource Officers -- Det. Jon Zabick and Det. Julie Warren -- also helped share information with students and parents in the past few weeks about these challenges.
