Last school year, our Student Six team, a group of approximately 40 high school students from across the district, who are passionate about ensuring all are included, used their own personal experiences to create six researched-based strategies which would promote an equitable learning environment at WSD. This week, the Student Six shared ideas with our teachers and administrators on how to implement those strategies in the classroom. This method allowed our staff to hear directly from students and was hugely impactful for everyone involved.
Additionally, we have also been working on a new welcoming hallway into the Kurzman Administration building. This project allows WSD to showcase our amazing students by displaying their photos and artwork while championing our district vision – and it will be updated throughout the year. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
