WSD teachers are doing a fabulous job implementing the new 1:1 Chromebooks in our curriculum! Superintendent Scott Lindberg recently stopped by Durant High School English Language Arts teacher Amy McNeil’s classroom where he saw 11th and 12th graders engaged in reading and responding to literature, both collaboratively and independently.
The students read the book (from their Language Arts 2 curriculum), “What, of this Goldfish, Would You Wish?” on their Chromebooks, then utilized Pear Deck to periodically check for understanding through quick surveys before assigning questions about the story through Writable.
All of these programs, along with outstanding teacher instruction, work together to provide our students with amazing academic opportunities.
