Absentee Ballots Are Available – Don’t Wait!
Submit your application for an absentee ballot as soon as possible.
Voters wanting to vote by absentee ballot are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible. Applications are available on the City website at www.fhgov.com or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at 248-871-2410. The last day for the Clerk’s Office to mail an absentee ballot to a voter is 5 p.m. on Friday, November 4.
Don’t wait to return your ballot!
If you have already received your absentee ballot, don’t wait to return it! Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted. Two stamps are required to return your ballot by mail.
Use the convenient drop boxes and forget the postage.
A black drive-up drop box for Election material is located in front of the Police Department and a walk-up drop box/slot is located on the south entrance wall before you enter City Hall.
Visit the Clerk’s Office in person.
Visit the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall to apply for, obtain, vote, or return your absent voter ballot in person. Voters appearing in person to obtain their ballot will be requested to show photo ID or complete an affidavit if they do not have photo ID. The last day to request an absentee ballot if you are already registered to vote in Farmington Hills is 4 p.m. on Monday, November 7. Voters may not leave with their ballot on Monday, November 7 and must vote their ballot in person at the Clerk’s Office.

Tuesday, October 25 - 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, October 26 - 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 29 - 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday, November 1 - 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 2 - 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday, November 4 – 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 5 - 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Normal business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
