Rep. Haley Stevens, serving Michigan's 11th district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared her thoughts and concerns on social media regarding current political issues. Born in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and currently residing in Birmingham, Stevens graduated from American University with a BA.

On March 4, 2025, Rep. Stevens addressed the House floor to convey the apprehensions of Michiganders concerning economic and healthcare challenges. "I took to the House floor this morning to share what Michiganders are saying about the state of our union. They are afraid of tariffs raising prices, cuts to Medicaid & Social Security, lack of access to medical information, and skyrocketing costs."

Later that day, Stevens expressed dissatisfaction over being excluded from a meeting related to legislation she authored. She tweeted at 22:10 UTC on March 4th: "Your husband signed my deep fakes bill into law on December 23, 2020. You failed to invite me to your meeting."

In another tweet dated March 5, 2025, at 02:56 UTC, Rep. Stevens criticized proposed budget cuts and their impact on national debt. She stated: "A budget cutting $880 billion from Medicaid while adding $4.5 trillion to the national debt. That’s the state of the union. I won’t clap for that."
