On Friday, Feb. 21, former Lakeland High School standout Tate Farquhar’s current college team, the Michigan State Spartans, won 9-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Washington State Cougars.

The game took place at Chapman Field. This was their first matchup against the Cougars this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at Chapman Field against Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders.
