On Sunday, Feb. 23, former Detroit Catholic Central High School standout Evan Haeger’s current college team, the Houston Cougars, won 7-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the California Golden Bears.

The game took place at Evans Diamond at Stu Gordon Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Golden Bears this season.

The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Schroeder Park against Sam Houston Bearkats.
