The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has notified the Village that the Wolverine Lake DNR boat launch will be closed during most of the month of September for ramp replacement and other site improvements.

Staging for the work will begin on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. During that week, the launch will be accessible, but parking at the site will be reduced.

Ramp replacement will begin on Monday, September 13, 2021, at which time the launch will completely close until October 1, 2021. According to the DNR, the closest alternative boating access sites are Proud Lake, Bass Lake, Cedar Island, Long Lake and Union Lake.

If you have any questions or would like more information about the closure, please contact the DNR Proud Lake Recreation Area at 248-685-2433.
