Walled Lake Consolidated Schools recently issued the following announcement.
Lakes Area Youth Assistance (LAYA) is hosting their annual “Taste of the Lakes” fundraiser on Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 5 - 7:30 p.m. at Edgewood County Club (8399 Commerce Road, Commerce). This event marks the largest fundraiser for LAYA , whose mission is to strengthen youth and families and to reduce the incidence of delinquency, abuse and neglect through volunteer involvement.
13 restaurants are partnering with LAYA by donating an incredible spread of food that will be available to sample at the event.
These restaurants include: Anaam’s Palate, Casey’s of Walled Lake, CAYA Smokehouse Grill, CJ’s Brewery, Dickey’s BBQ Pit, Driftwood, Edgewood Country Club, Edible Arrangements, Jet’s Pizza, El Mariachi, Kickstand Brewery, The Local Pourhouse and Nothing Bundt Cakes.
One lucky winner will receive a 43” Samsung Crystal UHD TV for the Door Prize drawing and there will be a silent auction and raffle for a wheel barrow of cheer, a variety of wonderful donated gifts, gift baskets, restaurant gift certificates and much more.
“Lakes Area Youth Assistance continues to appreciate the ongoing support we receive from the Walled Lake Consolidated School District.
