West Bloomfield High School issued the following announcement on Sept 9.
Members of the West Bloomfield HS Literary Garden Club, the WBHS EARTH Club, and determined Doherty Dolphins all pitched in to create a Very Hungry Caterpillar Planter and Fairy Garden in the Doherty Junior Literary Garden today. Led by Sally Wenczel and other Doherty parents, the students shared imagination, creativity, wonder, delight, and a love for nature and reading. Today is International Literacy Day, and this was the perfect project to celebrate all the joys and benefits literacy provides our kids. Thank you to all that worked so hard to bring this project to life! We love to see communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity in action!
