Raises Funds for WLFD

Fundraising event

Walled Lake Consolidated Schools recently issued the following announcement.

Dublin Elementary third grade student Madison Brand set up a lemonade stand over the summer with a goal of raising money for an important part of the local community, the White Lake Fire Department.

The $111.69 she raised was presented to the WLFD in the form of a Kroger gift card, to be used by the team as needed. The WLFD awarded Brand with a very special opportunity to catch a ride to school, in a fire truck, as part of their gratitude.

"We see so much bad stuff daily. When we get to do fun things like this it makes you so happy, it’s like giving back a little bit,” said Capt. Jason Crean of White Lake Township Fire Dept.
