Please share with your high school students!!

Community Choice Credit Union Scholarships

Since 2009, the Community Choice Credit Union Foundation has awarded 270 scholarships and invested $1.3 million toward supporting education in Michigan. This year, we are once again offering a total of 25 scholarships.

Available scholarships include:

-15 graduating high school at $5,000 each,

-6 continuing education at $2,500 each

-4 skilled trade/vocational training at $2,500 each

In keeping with Community Choice’s Give Big™ philosophy of giving back to local communities, the application provides scholars an opportunity to give examples of their volunteerism or public service. Applicants should also have a desire to live and work in Michigan after attaining a college degree or certification.

Please send interested students to MichiganScholarship.com to submit their application and essay before the deadline of February 28, 2021. Each application must be accompanied by an 800- to 1,000-word essay on the following topic: “…tell us how you demonstrate the credit union value of “people helping people.” If possible, include an example of a time you have given back, or made a difference in your school, community, or workplace. Then, tell us how you plan to continue to “Give Big” to your community, school, or the state of Michigan after you complete your program and begin, or further, your career.”

Nine of their past winners were alumni of Farmington Public Schools. We’d love to add a few more to that list in 2022!
