Township of Lyon issued the following announcement on Nov 8.
Oakland County MSU Extension would like to hear from homeowners who believe they have Lymantria dispar* egg masses on their property. You can reach their office by calling 248-858-0887 and request to be included in the fall survey.
*Lymantria dispar is the scientific name for Gypsy Moths, a name no longer being used due to the ethnic slur to the Romanis.
