Novi Community School District recently issued the following announcement.
To our Novi Community School District community:
First, thank you for the support you have provided our students this week. Whether you are a parent or a staff member, you have given to our students a sense of calm that has allowed us to have a good week in school.
Today, we were reminded that there continues to be unsettled news across our area. The Plymouth-Canton School District instituted their safety protocols at their high school campus this afternoon.
In Novi, we will monitor this situation but have no indication that it impacts our district. We will come to school Friday to continue creating those daily routines that help to communicate a sense of calm for our students. Our staff will welcome our students tomorrow as they have all week and ensure that our students have a great environment in which to learn, participate, and build community.
