Farmington Hills Fire Department Rescues Local Cat

Farmington Hills Fire Department Rescues Local Cat

On Wednesday, July 27, the Farmington Hills Fire Department received a call about a cat that had been stuck up in a tree on Minglewood Lane for three days. Our firefighters are known for showing compassion for ALL residents, including feline members of the community, so a crew headed out with a tall ladder. Firefighter Dave Caloia, assisted by Lieutenant Dan Przeworski, retrieved the cat who was perched in the tree over 24 feet above the ground. After the rescue, the healthy (but very tired and hungry) cat was reunited with its grateful owner.

Firefighter Dave Caloia rescued Martina.

Firefighter Dave Caloia returned Martina safely to her owner Doug Busko.
