Wixom's first officers were sworn in 65 years ago today, and the Wixom Police Department came into being. Since then the City has grown from a quiet rural community to one with a busy business and commercial district, and thriving residential developments.
Once just 4 officers strong, the Department now has 20 sworn officers, support and administrative personnel.
Thank you to those which have worked here over the years, and to today's officers which continue to serve and protect all those which live, work or play in Wixom.... HAPPY 65th WIXOM POLICE
