There were 9,082 students enrolled in Farmington Public School District in the 2022-23 school year, 1.2% more than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.1% of them were boys, and 48.9% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 47.9% of the Farmington Public School District total enrollment.

Farmington Public School District covers 16 schools within Oakland County with its main office in Farmington. Among them, Farmington High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,400 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
