On March 7, Rep. Stevens commemorated the anniversary of Bloody Sunday by emphasizing the importance of voting rights in today's society. She stated: "On the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, we remember our Black brothers and sisters who were beaten, bludgeoned, and attacked as they peacefully marched in protest for the right to vote. In 2025 we cannot see voting rights rolled back. We must pass the John Lewis Voting Rights..."
The following day, on International Women's Day, Rep. Stevens reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for women's rights globally. Her message was clear: "On International Women’s Day, I recommit to fighting for all women and girls across the globe.
