On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Walled Lake Northern High School standout Kayla Turmell’s current college team, the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, lost 6-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Georgia Southern Eagles.

The game took place at Eagle Field. This was their first matchup against the Eagles this season.

The Golden Grizzlies’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 12 p.m. at Eagle Field against Campbell Fighting Lady Camels.
