U.S. Representative Haley Stevens, who has served Michigan’s 11th District since 2019, addressed several national issues in a series of posts on her social media account between September 10 and 11, 2025.
On September 10, Stevens posted a statement regarding pediatric cancer research funding: "You won't make children healthy again by cutting pediatric cancer research funding. Resign. Now."
Later the same day, she commented on recent violence affecting political commentator Charlie Kirk and his family: "We all can have political disagreements, but violence is horrific and unacceptable. I’m keeping Charlie Kirk and his family in my thoughts after this terrible tragedy."
On September 11, marking the anniversary of the terrorist attacks in 2001, Stevens wrote: "On the 24th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the lives lost, keep their families in our hearts, and honor the bravery of first responders who put their lives on the line."
Stevens has represented Michigan’s 11th District since replacing Dave Trott in Congress in 2019. Born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently residing in Birmingham, she holds a BA from American University.
