Rep. Haley Stevens, who represents Michigan’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used her social media platform to criticize federal economic and trade policies under former President Donald Trump and independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as well as to announce new legislative efforts aimed at lowering grocery costs.

On September 16, 2025, Stevens posted: "Trump and RFK are playing politics with cancer research funding. This is unacceptable — @SecKennedy needs to resign."

The following day, on September 17, she reiterated her criticism of Trump-era economic policies by stating: "I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – the Trump economy does nothing for Michigan workers."

Later that same day, Stevens addressed concerns about rising consumer prices attributed to tariffs imposed by the Trump administration. She wrote: "I hear you, Michigan — Trump’s reckless tariffs are driving grocery prices up and up and up. We can’t afford to let this administration continue down a path that makes everyday essentials even more expensive. That’s why I introduced the No Tariffs on Groceries Act, to lower costs".

Stevens has represented Michigan's 11th District since 2019 after succeeding Dave Trott in Congress. Born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently residing in Birmingham, she holds a BA from American University.
