U.S. Representative Haley Stevens, who serves Michigan’s 11th district in Congress, has recently used her social media platform to address a range of legislative priorities and respond to national political developments.

On September 30, 2025, Stevens criticized former President Donald Trump’s rhetoric about American cities and referenced legislation she introduced: "Trump calling cities a ‘war’ and threatening to ‘straighten them out’ is exactly why I introduced the Stop Trump’s Abuse of Power Act. We must stop any president from deploying the U.S. military to further their personal agenda. That’s not law and order, it’s an abuse of power" (September 30, 2025).

Later that day, Stevens reiterated her commitment to her constituents in Michigan regarding health care policy: "My commitment is simple: if it doesn’t work for Michigan, it doesn’t work for me. Honored to stand with my colleagues to push for a deal that lowers health care costs and restores the health care cuts from this administration." (September 30, 2025).

On October 1, 2025, she issued a brief message concerning ongoing budget negotiations in Congress: "My statement on the Republican shutdown:" (October 1, 2025).

Stevens has represented Michigan's 11th District since replacing Dave Trott in Congress in 2019. She was born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. Stevens holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University.
