Rep. Haley Stevens, who represents Michigan’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media outlining her policy priorities and extending holiday greetings to constituents.
On October 1, 2025, Rep. Stevens stated her opposition to a proposed deal affecting health care costs for Michigan residents. She wrote: "I can't support a deal that slashes health care and does nothing to cut costs for Michiganders. My priority is clear: lower costs, affordable health care, a strong workforce, and a government that works for my state."
Later that day, she acknowledged Yom Kippur by posting: "G'mar Chatima Tovah. Wishing everyone observing an easy and meaningful fast this Yom Kippur."
The following morning on October 2, Stevens reiterated her legislative focus by saying: "I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it – I’m interested in results: lowering costs, protecting jobs, and delivering for Michigan."
Stevens has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Dave Trott as representative of Michigan’s 11th district (https://www.congress.gov/member/haley-stevens/S001215). She was born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. Stevens holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University.
