Rep. Haley Stevens, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 11th district since 2019, has recently addressed several key issues affecting her constituents in a series of social media posts.
On October 10, 2025, Stevens expressed support for home care workers in Michigan who have taken steps to unionize. She stated, "Proud to see Michigan’s home care workers standing together and raising their voices for fair pay, training, and respect. Over 32,000 caregivers — many caring for loved ones — voted to unionize with @SEIU. I stand with Michigan’s home care workers as they build power and fight".
Later that day, marking World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2025, Stevens highlighted the ongoing importance of mental health awareness: "Today is World Mental Health Day — a reminder that mental health matters every day."
On October 11, 2025, she addressed economic policy by criticizing former President Donald Trump’s tariff strategy and introducing new legislation: "Donald Trump's wild and erratic tariffs don't work for Michigan. That's why I introduced the Unearth America's Future Act to lower costs, reduce dependence on China, and get us back to real industrial policy."
Stevens was born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. She holds a BA from American University. Since replacing Dave Trott in Congress in 2019, she has focused on labor rights and economic policies relevant to her district.
