Rep. Haley Stevens, who has represented Michigan’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently addressed several issues affecting her constituents through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter). Her messages focused on federal food assistance, consumer prices, and access to healthcare screenings.

On October 30, 2025, Stevens criticized the Trump administration's handling of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), stating: "Let’s be clear: the Trump administration has both the funds and the legal authority to fully fund SNAP in November. By choosing not to, they are cutting food assistance for 1.4 million Michiganders — children, seniors, and veterans across our state. This administration is".

The following day, October 31, she commented on rising consumer costs in a Halloween-themed post: "Happy Halloween Michigan! I know the scariest part these days isn’t the costumes — it’s the prices on just about everything, even candy! That’s why I introduced my No Tariffs on Groceries Act — to help bring costs down and make sure Michigan families can afford the essentials".

Later that same day, Stevens marked the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by highlighting new legislation aimed at improving early detection: "Closing out #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth by joining my colleagues in introducing the Find It Early Act. Early detection saves lives — but for too many women, screening and diagnostic imaging are unaffordable. This bill makes sure cost is never a barrier to catching cancer early."

Stevens was born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University. Since replacing Dave Trott in Congress six years ago, she has frequently focused her legislative efforts on economic relief measures and healthcare accessibility for her district.
