Rep. Haley Stevens, who represents Michigan’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used her social media platform to address both national and local economic issues, as well as to recognize prominent political figures.
On November 6, 2025, Stevens posted a message expressing gratitude for the service of a senior congressional leader: "Thank you Speaker Pelosi for a lifetime of service to our country. I’ve been proud to work alongside you to pass critical legislation for Michigan’s economy, to lower costs for working families, and protect health care for millions."
The following day, on November 7, 2025, Stevens shifted focus to international financial policy and its impact on American industry. She wrote: "American tax dollars should build American jobs — not bail out Argentina. I just introduced the American Manufacturers over Argentine Bailouts Act to undo Trump’s $20B Argentina bailout and deliver real relief to our Michigan manufacturers."
Later that same day, she reiterated her position regarding tariffs and government spending: "Michigan manufacturers are being crushed by Trump’s reckless tariffs – and now he wants to send $20 billion to bail out Argentina. Not on my watch. My bill puts that money back where it belongs: in the hands of our manufacturers."
Stevens has represented Michigan's 11th District since 2019 after succeeding Dave Trott. Born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently residing in Birmingham, she holds a BA from American University.
