City offers opportunities to serve on its boards and commissions

City of Farmington issued the following announcement on Jan 27.

If you are looking to give back to the community and make a difference, the City of Farmington has some vacancies on its various boards and commissions.

There are several boards and commissions that are an integral part of municipal government. In many instances these boards are required by state law or City Charter. Without exception, these boards address important matters that impact the community. The members all volunteers and Farmington is fortunate that so many residents are willing to invest their talent and time into the community.

Residents interested in serving should fill out a Boards, Commissions, and Committees application and return it to Farmington City Hall, 23600 Liberty Street, or email it to mandrade@farmgov.com.  Please call 248-474-5500, ext. 2221 with questions or for more information.

The application can be found at: https://www.farmgov.com/City-Services/Forms-and-Permits/Government/Application_BoardsCommissionsCommittees.aspx
