Native American Boarding Schools

We are happy to welcome back Eric Hemenway, who presented our Virtual Anishinaabe event for our Community Read, "Firekeeper's Daughter" earlier this year.

Eric joins us again for this informative presentation on the Native American boarding schools that existed in Michigan.

Eric Hemenway is an Anishnaabe/Odawa from Cross Village, Michigan. He is the Director of Repatriation, Archives and Records for the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indian, a federally recognized tribe in northern Michigan. Eric works to collect and preserve historical information for LTBB Odawa.

Click here to register for the event, and you will receive a Zoom link to attend:  https://lyon.assabetinteractive.com/.../native-american.../
