City of Farmington Hills issued the following announcement on Feb 28.
Spring is just around the corner! Employees at the City’s Division of Public Works want to remind you that along with warmer temperatures, spring also brings melted snow and heavy rains that can cause problems if your storm drains or culverts are clogged.
Storm drains, culverts, and ditches are all part of the storm water system that collects and transports the water when it rains. They are essential for preventing rainwater from backing up during severe storms and flooding your street, your property, and even your basement.
