Rep. Haley Stevens, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 11th district, has recently used her social media platform to address several pressing public health issues and upcoming events.
On September 3, 2025, Stevens posted about the widespread presence of microplastics, calling for bipartisan action: "The writing’s on the wall – microplastics are everywhere. And with more studies like this, it’s more important than ever for a bipartisan solution to understand how they impact us."
The following day, September 4, 2025, she highlighted concerns about colorectal cancer rates among young people: "Colorectal cancer is one of the fastest-growing cancers in young people. And with cases among individuals aged 20 to 39 expected to increase by 90 percent by 2030, intervention is needed. This is why I introduced the Colorectal Cancer Early Detection Act with @RepTimBurchett –"
