Two days later, she addressed local constituents at the start of the academic year by stating, "Wishing all of our amazing Oakland County students and educators a good first week back to school this week!" (August 25, 2025).

Later that same day, Stevens commented on presidential authority over domestic deployments: "When presidents bypass governors and send federal troops into our communities, it undermines our democracy. Stevens has represented Michigan's 11th District since succeeding Dave Trott in 2019. She was born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University.
