Rep. Haley Stevens, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 11th district, recently addressed concerns over data privacy and healthcare through a series of tweets. The tweets, posted on February 6, 2025, reflect her legislative efforts and interactions with local constituents.

In her first tweet on February 6, Rep. Stevens expressed concern about data privacy involving influential figures like Elon Musk. She stated, "Elon Musk, or other unelected billionaires, shouldn't have access to Americans’ most sensitive data." She introduced the Taxpayer Data Protection Act alongside Rep. Casten and acknowledged support from Reps. Jeffries, Clark, and Aguilar during a press conference.

Continuing on the same day, she elaborated on the objectives of the proposed legislation in another tweet. She emphasized that "The Taxpayer Data Protection Act will make sure only authorized personnel with the necessary experience and skills can access the systems used to pay our nations’ bills."

Later that day, Rep. Stevens thanked members of SEIU Michigan for visiting her office to discuss healthcare issues. She tweeted their shared sentiment towards Elon Musk's involvement in healthcare matters: "Thank you to @SEIU Michigan local members for stopping by my office and keeping up the drum beat - @ElonMusk keep your hands off our healthcare!"
