On February 11, 2025, Rep. Stevens expressed her concern over rising prices affecting Michiganders and criticized the new administration's priorities. She stated, "Prices on everything from eggs to houses are too high for working Michiganders." She further mentioned that instead of addressing these issues, the administration is allowing Elon Musk access to the Treasury payment system.
On February 12, 2025, Rep. Stevens commented on the release of Marc Fogel from detention in Russia. She noted her relief at his release by stating, "Relieved to see American Marc Fogel was released from wrongful detention by Putin’s lawless regime." As Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Congressional Hostage Task Force, she pledged to continue leveraging legislative power to address such situations.
