On March 3, 2025, Rep. Stevens highlighted the potential economic impact of tariffs, stating that analysts predict an increase of $12,000 in new car costs due to disruptions in the complex supply chain and spiraling automaker stock prices. She urged for bipartisan collaboration to achieve goals without imposing blanket tariffs that could harm Michigan. Specifically, she advised against tariffs on Canada and Mexico. "Analysts predict the cost of a new car will go up $12,000, a complex supply chain will be disrupted, automaker stock prices are spiraling. Work with us to find a bipartisan path to our goals, but blanket tariffs will hurt Michigan. Don't tariff Canada. Don't tariff Mexico."

In another post dated March 4, 2025, Stevens addressed the consequences of firing NOAA employees on the Great Lakes region. She emphasized that this decision threatens clean water for 30 million Americans and jeopardizes $82 billion in wages along with $52 billion in recreational opportunities. She voiced her strong opposition to what she perceives as attacks on the lakes. "Last week’s firing of NOAA employees hurts the Great Lakes. Additionally, on March 4, 2025, Stevens criticized the President's decision to pause aid appropriated by Congress to Ukraine amidst their fight against tyranny. She called for reversing this pause to support Ukraine's efforts towards democracy and freedom."Abandoning our allies and partners in there fight against tyranny is not the American way.The President must reverse the pause and get the aid Congress appropriated to Ukraine so they can continue fighting for their democracy and freedom."
