She addressed varied topics from mourning a personal loss to celebrating community events, reflecting her engagement with both personal and professional spheres.

On March 29, 2025, Stevens expressed her condolences on the passing of a close friend and community member, Michael Kramer. She described Kramer as a valued friend and highlighted his roles within his family. According to Stevens, "Today we mourn the incredible life of a dear friend and community member, Michael Kramer. While seeing Michael was always a joy, he meant so much to the special people in his life as a husband, father, and grandfather. My heart is with Michael’s amazing family, his beloved wife".

Later on the same day, Stevens recognized the achievements of women in labor. Her remarks came during a panel at the Western Wayne County NAACP’s Women in Labor event, emphasizing the critical role women, particularly Black women, play in the labor movement. She stated, "A woman’s place is on the shop floor, running machines, welding, and leading unions.
