Rep. Haley Stevens, serving Michigan’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, shared insights via social media regarding her visit and discussions relevant to the U.S. manufacturing and auto sectors. Through her tweets, Stevens highlights key elements of her discussions and insights about the partnership between nations and specific industry needs.

On April 15, 2025, Rep. Stevens tweeted about her interaction with DENSO’s North American Regional CEO, Tomoyuki Arakawa. She remarked, "DENSO’s North American Regional CEO, Tomoyuki Arakawa, greeted me upon arrival and we had a chance to reflect on the important partnership that exists between the United States and Japan. That partnership has helped grow U.S. manufacturing and our auto sector."

In a subsequent post on the same day, Stevens addressed the need for pricing certainty and efficient delivery by stating, "Purchasers need certainty on pricing. Producers and final assembly manufacturers need 'on-time delivery' of parts components. They need rules of the road so they can price their products, pay their people, and balance their books."

Rep. Stevens also conveyed concerns about manufacturing economic stability, specifically in Michigan, through her tweet: "We of course, discussed the range of policies coming out of Washington, D.C. One thing is clear: Michigan’s auto, aero, and defense manufacturing economy needs certainty."

Haley Stevens was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan, in 1983, and currently resides in Birmingham. She graduated with a BA from American University.
