Rep. Haley Stevens recently shared her insights and observations from a recent event through a series of posts dated April 15, 2025. Stevens, who serves in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 11th district, discussed the capabilities and needs voiced by companies during a round table discussion, and emphasized regional economic strengths.

In a post dated April 15, Stevens highlighted the comprehensive dialogue between companies during the round table. "The companies that participated in today’s round table demonstrated and voiced their capabilities and needs in a thorough and wide-ranging conversation."

Addressing supply chain issues in another post from April 15, Stevens remarked on the essentials of creating a robust plan to maintain leadership in the field. She stressed the importance of securing critical minerals to reduce reliance on China for refining and processing. "In order to continue to lead, we need a plan for our supply chain and we need to secure critical minerals, so we can lessen our dependence on the refining and processing that is done almost exclusively in China."

Stevens also celebrated Michigan's manufacturing prowess in her April 15 post. She praised the workers and innovators driving the state's economy. "The state of Michigan has a beautiful, cohesive, and exciting manufacturing economy. Our workers, talent, and innovators truly lead the world and beat expectations every day."

Haley Stevens, originally from Rochester Hills, Michigan, with a BA from American University, has been representing Michigan's 11th district since 2019, succeeding Dave Trott. Haley Stevens is currently serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Michigan’s 11th district. She replaced previous U.S Congress member Dave Trott in 2019.
