Rep. Haley Stevens, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 11th district since 2019, recently addressed several pressing issues through her social media platform.

On May 6, 2025, Rep. Stevens expressed her support for the Michigan Hospital Association during a meeting focused on Medicaid concerns. She stated, "Great to meet with the Michigan Hospital Association this morning! They’re here because they’re worried about the uncertainty facing Medicaid and want us to protect it for Michiganders. I’m proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with them in this fight."

The following day, on May 7, 2025, she criticized the current administration's decision regarding STEM education funding. In her tweet, she noted that former President Trump had signed a bill during his first term aimed at investing in STEM education but now accused his administration of neglecting that law by halting all STEM grants at the National level: "WATCH: In Trump’s first term, he signed my bill to invest in STEM education so we can build the best and brightest workforce in Michigan and across the U.S. Now, his administration is completely ignoring that law, announcing they are stopping all STEM grants at the National".

Later on May 7th, Rep. Stevens praised residents of Michigan for voicing their opposition against what she described as disrespectful policies from the current administration: "They should be trying to support people who need support, and if people don't need support, they should just let them live their lives." Proud of these Michiganders for speaking out against the disrespect and uncertainty that this administration continues to cause.

Haley Stevens was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. She graduated from American University with a BA.
