Rep. Haley Stevens, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 11th district since 2019, has recently taken to social media to express her positions on several pressing issues. Her tweets cover topics ranging from antisemitism to the humanitarian crisis involving hostages held by Hamas, and budget cuts affecting scientific research.

On May 14, 2025, Rep. Stevens shared her support for a resolution against antisemitism, emphasizing the importance of the American Jewish community in both state and national contexts. She stated, "Proud to support this resolution tonight to send a clear message: Antisemitism has no place in America and the American Jewish community is a vital part of our state and our country, who we will ALWAYS stand with."

The following day, on May 15, 2025, she addressed the ongoing plight of hostages held by Hamas. Stevens highlighted their dire living conditions and lack of basic necessities such as medical care and food. She expressed empathy for their families' anguish over their uncertain fates. Her tweet read: "For over a year and half, Hamas has forced their hostages to live in horrific, unspeakable conditions, without medical care or sufficient food, leaving their families scared and wondering if they will ever see their loved ones again."

Later that day, Rep. Stevens announced her leadership role among colleagues from @sciencedems on the House floor. The focus was on opposing proposed cuts to the National Science Foundation (NSF) attributed to former President Trump and Elon Musk. Her tweet urged followers to tune in as she aimed to "stand up for science," stating her intention to "fight Trump and Musk’s NSF cuts," and "STOP THE CHAOS!"

Haley Stevens was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. She graduated from American University with a BA.
