City of Farmington recently issued the following announcement.
Residents with limbs down from last night’s storm can cut them into 4-foot lengths and bring them to the curb with the cut end out toward the street. The limbs must not be larger than 6-inch in diameter. Please try not to block the sidewalk. Please be patient, as collection may take several days.
City crews and contractors will not remove private tree stumps and are not permitted to remove debris outside of the Right-of-Way. If you have a contractor remove a tree from private property, they must remove all of the debris as part of their services.
If a tree or limb has fallen on your home or vehicle, contact Farmington Public Safety to file a Police Report, then contact your insurance company.
