South Lyon Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec 20.
A few more examples of our commitment to "partner with our community":
I stopped and spoke with a female walking her dog in Colonial Acres. She advised she was in from out of town visiting her mother. She advised her mother loves the community here. She thanked me for stopping and talking with her, and I cleared. Ofc. Czapski
I stopped by CVS and notified them that their lights were not on in the parking lot and most of their walkway lights were burnt out. This gave them the appearance of being closed, costing them business, and created an unsafe situation for visually impaired customers. They agreed to remedy the situation. Sgt. Hoydic
C.O.P. conducted at Peter’s True Value Hardware store. I spoke with cashier (Kathy), who had just finished her work day. Kathy was getting ready to leave for the day, but she took the time to tell me that everything is going well and she has no concerns for the police department at this time. I thanked Kathy for talking with me and I left the business. Ofc. Walton
When I arrived at Bartlett Elementary School for pick-up, I noticed a vehicle in the line of cars with its driver's door open. There was a woman standing next to the vehicle. I asked her if she needed any assistance. She said that she was just getting something out of her back seat and thanked me for checking on her. Ofc. Barbour
