A1

Groves-Walker American Legion Post 346 and Xemplar Club of Farmington/Farmington Hills Co-Sponsor Memorial Day Parade on May 30

The Groves-Walker American Legion Post 346 and the Xemplar Club of Farmington & Farmington Hills will co-sponsor the 2022 Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30.

The Farmington Memorial Day Parade has been an area tradition since 1970 and continues to celebrate our heroes over half a century later. The community is invited to participate in honoring veterans, fallen heroes, and active service men and women at this great family event.

The parade will start at 10 a.m. near the intersection of Grand River Avenue and Orchard Lake Road and will travel one mile west on Grand River. It will end at Oakland Street where a ceremony will take place at the Farmington War Memorial Monument in Memorial Park. After the ceremony, all are welcome at the free community luncheon sponsored by Weingartz and the Xemplar Club at the American Legion Hall located at 31775 Grand River Avenue.

Non-profit and charitable organizations can march in the parade for free. To learn more or to register to march, go to www.memorialdayparade.us or call 248-471-4960, extension 206.
