Fire Department Welcomes Five New Firefighter/Paramedics

Following the Department’s busiest year on record with 11,912 emergencies in 2022, Farmington Hills Fire Chief Jon Unruh is pleased to announce the hiring of five new firefighter/paramedics - Madison Gardenhire, Idris Hatem, Eric Mardirosian, Matthew Marken, and Ross Pajak. Four firefighters will begin serving immediately, following completion of the orientation process. The fifth will serve as the Hazardous Materials Coordinator in the Fire Prevention Division. These latest hires bring the Department’s total to 60 full-time firefighter/paramedics and 57 part-time/paid on call firefighters.
