• In accordance with City policy, debris and tree removal following a storm from private property is the responsibility of the property owner.
• Except for a Disaster Declaration, the City is responsible for tree and debris removal from public roads and City property.

• Yard waste collection resumes the week of April 3, 2023.

The City of Farmington Hills Division of Public Works is responsible for clearing and removal of trees that fall within the City road rights-of-way. This includes the removal of trees and debris from City property. The rare exception is during a Disaster Declaration, such as the occurrence during the summer of 2021, where the City disposed of trees and limbs that fell on private property and were brought to the curb.
