 Farmington Hills Police to compete with young people on the court for goodwill.
• Effort seeks to strengthen community relations across City lines.

• Event takes place at Farmington Hills Community Center, the Hawk, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 24. 

A challenge from Detroit-based Royalty Empowerment organization to the Farmington Hills Police Department will place the two groups face-to-face in a friendly game of basketball. As part of the organization’s First Responders Basketball Tour, the City’s Police Department and youth from Royalty Empowerment will tip-off to help build relations across City lines. It will be a first for the event to be hosted in Farmington Hills. The game takes from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the Hawk Community Center, located at 29995 Twelve Mile Road.
